Charitable Car Show at the Golden Fleece Tavern — In loving memory of William “Pop” Schellhardt and in support of Pancreatic Cancer research, the Schellhardt Family will be hosting a Charitable Car Show at the Golden Fleece Tavern on Saturday, August, 21, 2010 from 9am to 4pm.
All Proceeds benefit Pancreatic Cancer Research.

What the hell IS a "Lost Positive?"

A Lost Positive is not defined in any dictionary, not even the OED (Old English dictionary). After playing with the linguistic anomaly in F-Town for the past couple of years and reading about it some on the internet, here is our most basic definition of "Lost Positive" - a word with a negative prefix which, in its positive form (without the prefix), ceases to be a word. The prefixes that are considered to be negative are: in, im, un, dis, il, ex, non, de, and con. For example, disgruntled is certainly a word meaning upset, but if you remove the dis- prefix, it has no meaning at all; gruntled is not a word. (However, TLP has been known to get 'gruntled' from time to time.)

Who the hell are the "Lost Positives?"

One night sitting around in F-Town, we were in front of the fire-pit playing on guitar, banging on the table and generally having a good time when one of the "party" said "we need to start a band!"
It was at that moment serious consideration was being taken. A cell phone text message was sent a couple of days later -- "If you don't run, you rust." (Tom Petty) It was at that point we began taking it seriously. A couple of impromptu meetings took place to determine what genre of music we wanted to play. We decided that we would cover songs that had already been covered. We still follow that original rule, to some degree, but we aren't very disciplined about it.
